A local medical practice was spending $10,000 a month on Pay-Per-Click Google Ads trying to book appointments for $5,000 treatments. There were calls coming in, but they couldn't convert enough of them to make the math work. They asked me to come in, take a look, and see what was going on. Here they were spending $10K per month in ad spend and wanting to blame the marketing agency for bringing in bad leads. I can still hear that first conversation "we are paying for bad leads".
So, I dug through the whole program. Went to the office, talked to their team. I evaluated the message, the audience, the offer, and the ads appeared to be fine. The problem had nothing to do with the marketing agency or the ad setup. When I got into the details, I found the root cause of the problem: there was no consistent follow-up system. A potential patient would call, not ready to book on the spot, and that was the end of it. Nobody was reaching back out. No second call. No text. No follow-up. They were just telling the patient to call back when they were ready, waiting for the patient to come back on their own.
Here's what we did: we built a comprehensive follow-up "system". When we couldn't find exactly what we needed off the shelf, we built it ourselves. That system became NiftiCRM. And that was the beginning of Nifti Digital.
What I learned through that process hasn't left me: when leads aren't converting, it's not always the marketing agency's fault. The best ad campaign in the world can't make up for a broken follow-up process. You need both! And most small businesses think that more leads means more money. Though that may be somewhat true, I can promise you that most consumers are not ready to buy from you on the first touch, most purchases are not impulse decisions. Statistics have been proven time and time again, on average it takes between 8 to 10 touches before a prospect will choose to do business with you.
That's the gap Nifti was built to close!
